Join us as we embark together on a mystical journey into the Heart of Being, with Ramana Maharshi as our Guide. We will learn and practice the powerful method of self-investigation. Self-investigation (atma-vichara) is a spiritual practice that cuts away all of the complexity and confusion of the ego-generated reality, allowing for the direct and intimate experience of our blissful divine Self.
Born Venkataramana in Tamil Nadu, India, he underwent a death experience at the age of 16 that completely annihilated his separate sense of ego identity, giving him full access to the current (avesam) of the real Self. Leaving home, he spent the rest of his years living and teaching on the sacred hill of Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai.
Silent transmission of the Self-current was Sri Bhagavan's preferred method of teaching, but most students and devotees were not able to operate at such subtle levels and so he met them where they were and gave approval for a host of other approaches and spiritual techniques. However, surrender to God and self-investigation are the most recommended "methods" next to the Silence of the Guru's Presence.
People from all walks of life from all around the world flocked to the ashram to meet with Bhagavan. However, he never sought to found a religion, nor proselytize his teachings. Living a simple life, completely free from desires and worldly involvement, he encouraged sincere seekers to discover the true nature of the "I-thought" and thus realize that eternal and changeless happiness is Who We Are.
Considered the most authoritative source for learning the authentic teachings of Bhagavan, Sri Sadhu Om's, The Path of Sri Ramana lifts the veils on the nature of the world, God, love, and karma. Most importantly it transmits with beauty, poignancy, and a no-nonsense attitude the way to Self-Realization.
We will meet every Tuesday from 7-8:30pm. Upon registering, you will receive a Zoom link. 8 sessions for $150.
